Window cleaning for the established homes up in Catalina
Catalina is a settled residential pocket on the north side, and the glass up here tells a different story to the beachfront suburbs we clean. The homes are mostly established family places and long-term rentals, and a lot of them have big garden-facing windows and sliding doors that look out over the yard rather than straight at the surf. That outlook is the whole point of the windows, so when they film up you notice it from inside every day.
We do internal and external glass, the tracks, the frames and the flyscreens, all in the one visit. For a Catalina home that usually means a fair few panes, because the established builds around here tend to have generous windows and plenty of sliding doors out to the back. We bring our own water and gear, so all you need to do is clear the sills and point us at the rooms.
Tyson started Capital Coastal Cleaning in 2023, and Catalina is an easy run for us from the bridge with no travel surcharge. It's one of the suburbs we know well, and a quick one to get to when a real estate agent needs glass sorted before an inspection.
What the Cullendulla bush does to your windows
Catalina edges the Cullendulla wetlands, and that bushland setting changes what ends up on your glass. The homes tucked up against the bush pull in more dust and leaf litter than the beachfront places do, so the film on Catalina windows is usually a mix of fine bush dust, pollen and the grit that blows off the trees, rather than the heavy salt crust you get down on the water.
That sort of build-up sits in the corners and along the bottom of the pane, and it cakes into the tracks where the sliding doors run. A quick wipe over the middle of the glass never gets it. We pull the dust and leaf bits out of the tracks first, do the frames, then bring the glass up clear, so the whole window looks done and not just the easy bit in the middle.
The flyscreens are where a lot of the Catalina grime actually lives, because they catch the dust and pollen before it reaches the glass. We take them out, wash them down and clear them so they aren't just smearing dirt straight back onto clean panes the next windy day.
Glass on the golf-course and country club homes
A good number of the homes we do in Catalina back onto the Catalina Country Club and the golf course. Those are established family places, and the windows on that side of the house are doing a real job, framing the green and the open ground out the back. Owners up there care how that outlook looks, so streaky or filmed-up glass on the golf side is the first thing they want sorted.
We assess any two-storey work on site before we start, which matters for some of the bigger established homes backing the course where the living-area glass runs up high. We take a look, work out the safe way to reach it, and tell you straight if a pane is beyond what we can safely do rather than promising the world.
We're police-checked, fully insured and use low-tox products, so we're comfortable in and around family homes and we leave no harsh chemical smell behind on the glass or the sills.
Bond cleans and the windows that fail an exit inspection
Catalina has a lot of long-term rentals, so bond cleans come up for us regularly up here. Windows are one of the items agents check hardest at the end of a lease, and dirty glass, dusty tracks or torn flyscreens are an easy reason to hold back part of a bond. We clean the glass, frames, tracks and screens to the REINSW exit standard as part of the wider exit clean.
If you're a tenant moving out of a Catalina rental, or a landlord turning one over between tenants, getting the windows right is worth doing properly the first time. Our end of lease work carries a bond-back guarantee, so if the agent flags the cleaning we come back and re-clean free within 72 hours.
Because so much of our Catalina work is the regular and carpet side of things for the same family homes and rentals, we often do the windows on the same visit as the inside clean, which saves you booking two separate jobs to get a place inspection-ready.
Booking your Catalina window clean
You can have us do the glass on its own, or roll it into a regular house clean or a carpet clean, which is the bread and butter of what we do in Catalina. A lot of owners up here get the windows freshened up at the same time as the carpets after a busy stretch, so the whole home feels reset at once.
We're a small local team, just Tyson, Shanice and Lisa, open 7 days, and we hold a 5.0 rating from 110 Google reviews. We serve the whole Eurobodalla coast from Durras to Moruya, and Catalina is right on our doorstep across the bridge.
To get your windows sorted, give us a call on 0479 184 498. Tell us roughly how many windows, whether any of them are up high on a two-storey, and whether it's your own home, a holiday let or a rental changeover, and we'll sort you a time.
