Regular Home Cleaning done properly
Hand the cleaning to a local crew you can trust. We do regular home cleans weekly, fortnightly or monthly, plus once-off spring cleans and pre or post-guest resets, right across the Eurobodalla. Kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting and the everyday upkeep, done to a consistent standard by the same cleaner each visit wherever we can. Low-tox products that are safe around kids and pets, and clear pricing, by the hour or a set per-visit price, whichever suits you best.
What a regular home clean with us actually involves
A regular home clean is the recurring tidy that keeps your house on top of itself so it never gets to the point where you need a big rescue job. You pick the rhythm that suits you, weekly, fortnightly or monthly, and we come back on that cycle and do the same reliable round each time. It's the everyday maintenance clean, not a deep spring clean and not an end of lease, though we do those too as separate jobs when you need them.
Here's what a standard visit covers. Kitchens get the benchtops, splashback, sink and tapware wiped down, the cooktop and the front of the oven and rangehood cleaned, the outside of the cupboards and appliances done, and the bin area sorted. Bathrooms get the shower, screen, bath, basin, toilet, mirror and tapware cleaned and the floors mopped. Through the rest of the house we dust the surfaces, skirtings and sills within reach, wipe down switches and handles where they get grubby, vacuum the carpets and rugs, and mop the hard floors. We make beds if you leave fresh linen out, and we tidy as we go so the place feels reset, not just surface-wiped.
A few honest notes on what isn't in a standard recurring clean. We don't do the inside of a heavily caked oven, the inside of the windows up high, the walls top to bottom, or a full carpet clean as part of the regular round, those are deep-clean tasks we book separately so they get the time they need. We also don't move heavy furniture, sort through your belongings, do the dishes piled in the sink, or handle laundry beyond a quick fold if that's something you've arranged with us. If you want any of those extras built into your visits, just say so up front and we'll price them in rather than skip them and leave you wondering.
Weekly, fortnightly or monthly, and how to pick
The right cycle comes down to how hard your house gets used and how much you want to do yourself between visits. Weekly suits busy family homes, places with pets, people working long hours, and anyone who just wants to come home to a clean house and never think about it. Fortnightly is the most popular choice for couples and smaller households who keep on top of the everyday mess but want the proper clean handled regularly. Monthly works for tidy single-person homes, holiday places that aren't lived in full time, or folks who do the light stuff themselves and want us for the deeper round.
Down here on the coast the season plays into it as well. Plenty of clients step up from fortnightly to weekly over summer and the school holidays when the house is full, the kids are in and out from the beach, and sand and damp towels are everywhere, then ease back to fortnightly through the quieter winter months. We're happy to flex with that. Your cycle isn't locked in stone, and if you want to change it for a stretch or pause while you're away, a bit of notice is all we ask.
If you aren't sure which to pick, start fortnightly and see how the house feels. It's easy to move to weekly if the place is getting away from you between visits, or stretch to monthly if a fortnight is more than you need. We would rather get you on the right rhythm than sell you more cleaning than your house actually wants.
The coastal angle, why a regular clean earns its keep here
Keeping a house clean in the Eurobodalla is a different job to keeping one clean inland, and a regular cycle is exactly how you stay ahead of it. The salt air and the sandy feet are relentless. Fine sand walks in from the beach at Batehaven, Denhams Beach, Maloneys Beach, Long Beach and the Durras strip and works its way deep into carpet pile and along the edges of hard floors, and a household vacuum once a week only ever skims the top of it. Sliding door tracks and window runners closest to the water build up a gritty salt-and-sand paste that turns to grime if it's left, so we clear them as part of the round before it sets.
Glass is the other thing the coast is hard on. Salt haze films up windows and shower screens faster than people expect, and the humidity off the Clyde River and the ocean feeds mould in bathroom grout and around shower silicone if a place isn't cleaned regularly. A bathroom that gets a proper going-over every week or fortnight simply doesn't get the chance to grow that mould in the first place, which is the whole point of staying on a cycle rather than waiting until it's a problem you can see.
We clean homes right across the coast, from the Durras headlands down through Surfside, Batemans Bay, Catalina, Sunshine Bay, Nelligen up the Clyde, Malua Bay, Lilli Pilli, Guerilla Bay, Rosedale, Mossy Point, Broulee, Tomakin and Mogo, all the way to Moruya and Moruya Heads. Whether yours is a unit near the water, a family home back off the beach, a cottage near Mogo village, or a place over by the Moruya hospital precinct off Vulcan Street, we've very likely cleaned one like it and we know what the coast throws at it through the year.
Holiday lets, Airbnb resets and pre or post-guest cleans
This coast lives on its visitors, and a big share of our regular work is keeping short-stay places ready for the next booking. If you run an Airbnb or holiday let around Batemans Bay, Surfside, Long Beach, Malua Bay, Broulee, Tomakin or Mossy Point, you already know a changeover clean is its own thing, done to a tight window between checkout and the next check-in, and judged by guests who will mention a dusty fan or a hair in the shower in a review the same day. We treat a guest reset as a proper clean every time, not a quick wipe, because your rating depends on it.
A changeover with us covers the lot between guests, fresh linen and beds made if you leave the linen out, bathrooms reset, kitchen wiped down and the dishwasher emptied, floors vacuumed and mopped, surfaces dusted, bins out and the place left looking the way the photos promised. We can keep an eye on consumables like toilet paper and soap and flag when you're running low, and we'll tell you about anything we spot, a stain a guest left, a chipped glass, a broken blind, so you can sort it before the next arrival rather than copping it in a review.
Because we're open seven days, we can work to checkout and check-in times rather than only nine to five, which is what these jobs actually need. If you switch your place between holiday letting and a long-term tenant from time to time, tell us, because the clean we do for a guest reset and the clean we do when a place is changing hands are pitched a little differently, and we want to do the right one for what comes next.
What to expect on the day
Once you're set up on a cycle, your visit runs to a routine so you always know what you're getting. We'll agree a day and a rough time window with you, and we'll let you know if anything is shifting. You don't need to be home. Most of our regular clients give us a key, a lockbox code or a spot to find the key, and we let ourselves in, do the clean and lock up behind us. If you'd rather be there, that's no trouble at all, plenty of people like to be home for the first couple of visits and then hand over a key once they're comfortable.
When we arrive, usually Tyson, Shanice or Lisa, we work to the same order each time so nothing gets missed, generally top to bottom and back of the house forward, so dust and splashes land on surfaces we haven't done yet rather than ones we just finished. Wet areas and the kitchen get the proper attention they need, and we tidy and reset as we move through so the place feels lived-in and looked-after, not staged. We're police-checked and fully insured for public liability, which is the bare minimum you should expect from anyone you trust with a key to your home.
Every product we use is low-tox and safe around kids and pets, so there are no harsh chemical smells lingering when you walk back in and nothing on the floors you'd worry about a toddler or a dog getting into. If something comes up on the day, a spill that needs more than the usual, a room you've asked us to skip because the baby is asleep, an extra you want done this once, we'll sort it and let you know. Leave us a note or send a quick message and we'll work to it.
How pricing works, by the hour or a fixed per-visit price
Regular home cleaning is most often charged by the hour at $60 an hour plus GST, which is the fairest way to do ongoing work because you only ever pay for the time the job actually takes. A tidy week means a quicker, cheaper visit, and you are never paying for time we did not spend. If you would rather know the exact cost of each visit in advance, we are just as happy to set a fixed per-visit price once we have seen your home. Either way the number is agreed with you before we start, so there are never any surprises.
We work out your per-visit price from the size and layout of your home, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, whether it's single or double storey, how the place is generally kept, and how often we're coming. A weekly clean on a house we're maintaining costs less per visit than a monthly one on the same house, because a fortnight or a month of living lets more settle in between. If you want regular extras built in, say the inside of the oven every few months, or the windows done seasonally, we'll price those in so the number stays honest and there are no surprises.
To give you an accurate figure we like a few details up front, the suburb or address, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, single or double storey, carpets or hard floors, whether there are pets, and roughly how the house is kept day to day. A quick walk-through or a couple of photos helps us nail it. Give us a ring on 0479 184 498 and we'll give you a clear per-visit price, and what we quote is what you pay each time unless you ask us to add something on.
Common issues and how we handle them
The most common thing on a regular run is the house getting away from you between visits, especially over a busy summer or with kids and pets in a beach home. If a fortnight is leaving the place feeling messy by the end, that's usually a sign to step up to weekly rather than us spending half the visit catching up on the backlog. We'll tell you straight if we think your cycle isn't keeping pace, because the point of a regular clean is to stay on top of the house, not to fall further behind each visit.
Pets and sand are the two we deal with most down here. Pet hair works into upholstery and along skirtings, and beach sand gets everywhere, so on homes with both we adjust the routine, more vacuuming time, more attention to the door tracks and the floor edges where sand collects, and a heads-up if a carpet is getting to the point where it really wants a proper carpet clean rather than a weekly vacuum. We'll flag that as a one-off add-on rather than quietly letting the carpets go.
Now and then we'll find something that isn't part of a regular clean, a build-up that needs a deep clean to shift, mould that has grown in behind old silicone and is really a re-seal job for a handyman, an oven that has gone past a wipe-down and needs the full treatment. We don't just leave it or pretend it's fine. We tell you what we've found, what it would take to put right, and whether it's a one-off extra we can do or a job for someone else, so you can decide rather than discovering it later.
Getting the most out of your regular clean
You don't need to clean before we come, that's literally what you're paying us for, but a quick tidy of the clutter helps us spend the visit cleaning rather than shuffling your things around. If the kitchen bench is clear of paperwork and the floors are clear of toys and washing, we can get straight onto the surfaces and the floors and do a better job in the time. Think of it as clearing the runway, not doing our work for us.
Tell us your preferences once and we'll stick to them. If there's a room you want left alone, a surface that marks if it gets the wrong product, a spot where you like things put back a particular way, or a day that suits you better, let us know and we'll write it into your notes so it carries across every visit and every cleaner. The same goes for access, where the key lives, the alarm code, the side gate that sticks, and anything we should know about pets so nobody gets a fright and the dog doesn't get out.
Leave fresh linen out if you want beds made, and leave us a note or send a message if you want something extra done a particular week. Around the summer peak and school holidays the coast gets busy and our run fills up, so if you want to add visits or change your day over that stretch, a bit of notice gives us the best chance of fitting you in. We're open seven days and we'll always try to work around you, but the earlier you tell us, the easier it's to sort.
Why a careful local team gets it right
Capital Coastal Cleaning is Indigenous-owned and locally operated, started right here in Batemans Bay in 2023 by the owner, Tyson. We're a small local team, not a franchise running a script from a city call centre, and the people who clean your home are the same people whose names turn up in our reviews, Tyson, Shanice and Lisa. We live and work on this coast, so doing a good job isn't just about the money, it's about our name in a small community where one bad clean travels faster than ten good ones.
Trust is the part that matters most when you're handing someone a key and letting them into your home week after week, often when you aren't there. Our cleaners are police-checked and we carry full public liability insurance, so you're covered. We use low-tox products that are safe around kids and pets because we're in family homes constantly and there's no reason to leave harsh chemicals behind on the floors and benches your children and animals live on. We've earned a 5.0 rating from 110 Google reviews by turning up when we say we'll and doing the everyday parts properly, visit after visit.
A regular clean is really about getting a few hours of your life back and never having to think about the house again, and that only works if you can rely on the people doing it. We know this coast, we know what the salt air and the sand do to a home through the year, and we do this every single day from Durras down to Moruya. Give us a call on 0479 184 498, tell us a bit about your place and how often you'd like us, and we'll get you on a cycle that keeps your home the way you want it.
