NDIS domestic assistance in the village of Mogo
Mogo is a small inland village, not a beach suburb, and that shapes how we run NDIS domestic assistance here. People live up off the historic main street and in the lanes around it, in a mix of older timber cottages and newer builds that went up after the 2019-20 bushfires. Many of those older cottages have small rooms, tight bathrooms and the kind of layout that takes a careful, regular hand rather than a quick once-over. We set the clean around the home you actually live in, not a template.
Capital Coastal Cleaning is an Indigenous-owned local business, started in 2023 by owner Tyson, with a small team of Tyson, Shanice and Lisa. Because the team is small, the person who learns your Mogo home and how you like things done is usually the same person who keeps turning up. For a lot of participants that consistency matters more than anything else on the list.
Domestic assistance funded through your plan
This is domestic assistance funded through your NDIS plan, the everyday house cleaning that keeps a home running. We work with both self-managed and plan-managed participants. If you self-manage, you pay us and claim it back yourself. If you're plan-managed, we invoice your plan manager directly, and the invoice spells out the support line, the date, the hours and what was done so it matches your plan and clears without back and forth.
We don't write your plan or pretend to be support coordinators. What we do is the cleaning, and we do it in a way that keeps the paperwork tidy. The supports we cover are the regular domestic ones: kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting, bins and general tidying on the rooms you nominate.
The same cleaner, week in week out
Mogo sits a quick run inland from Batemans Bay, and we're also up and down to Moruya, so the village fits naturally into the days we're already working that stretch of the highway. There's no travel surcharge to reach you here. What that means in practice is we can hold a steady day and time for your clean rather than squeezing you into a gap, which is exactly what makes keeping the same cleaner possible.
For participants who find new faces unsettling, or who need a bit of routine to feel comfortable letting someone into the house, that steadiness is the whole point. Shanice or Lisa learns where the cleaning gear lives, which cupboards you'd rather they left alone, and how you like the bathroom finished, and then that knowledge stays with the job.
Low-tox products for older cottages and newer builds alike
We use low-tox products as standard, which suits a lot of participants who are sensitive to harsh chemical smells or who share the home with kids and pets. In Mogo's older cottages, where windows are small and a strong cleaning product can hang in the air for hours, gentler products make the place easier to be in straight after we leave. In the newer post-fire builds the surfaces are different again, more sealed benchtops and modern bathrooms, and we match the product to what we're cleaning rather than blasting everything with the same bottle.
Being inland, Mogo homes don't cop the salt spray that the beachfront places down the coast deal with. What they do get is everyday dust off the unsealed edges of the village and a fair bit of foot traffic if you're near the main street, so floors and entryways tend to be where the regular effort goes.
Police-checked, insured and easy to have around
Everyone on our team is police-checked and we carry full insurance, which we're happy to show your plan manager or coordinator before the first visit. For NDIS work that isn't a nice-to-have, it's the baseline, and we treat it that way. We're open seven days, so if a weekday doesn't suit your routine or your other supports, we can usually find a day that does.
We hold a 5.0 rating from 110 Google reviews across the Eurobodalla, and a good slice of that comes from people who value being treated with patience and respect in their own home. That's the same way we work whether the clean is funded through a plan or paid privately.
Moving in or out of a Mogo rental
If you're an NDIS participant moving between rentals in Mogo, the end of lease side of the house comes with our bond-back guarantee. We clean to the REINSW exit standard, and if the managing agent flags the cleaning, we come back and re-clean for free within 72 hours. The Mogo rental market keeps us doing bond cleans to agent standard regularly, so the exit checklist is well-worn territory for us.
We can keep the end of lease clean as its own clearly described job on the invoice, separate from your regular domestic assistance, so it's obvious to your plan manager what was a one-off move-out clean and what's your ongoing support. That keeps the claim clean and stops the two getting tangled together.
