About Capital Coastal Cleaning

Why we started Capital Coastal Cleaning

We started this business in Batemans Bay in 2023 with a simple idea: this coast deserved a cleaning crew that actually turns up, does the job properly, and treats your home and your business like they matter. No call centres, no no-shows, no nasty surprises. Just honest, careful work from locals who live here too.

These days we look after everything from facility and office contracts to NDIS and home care clients, end of lease cleans and carpets, right across the Eurobodalla. Same standard on every job, our name on every invoice.

Our story starts on the bay

We started Capital Coastal Cleaning here in Batemans Bay back in 2023. This coast deserved a cleaning crew that actually turns up when it says it will, does the work properly, and treats your home or your business like it matters. We had seen too many people let down by cleaners who cancelled at the last minute, rushed the job, or quoted one thing and charged another, so we set out to build the kind of crew we would want walking through our own front door.

We're an Indigenous-owned, locally-run business, and we're proud of both. Locally-run isn't a slogan for us. It means the person who answers the phone is the person doing the work, or standing right next to them, and that we live in the same towns as the people we look after. When we drive past a job we've done, we want it to still look right months later. That's why we keep this small, local and personal rather than turning it into a faceless franchise.

The goal was never to be the biggest cleaning company on the coast. It was to be the one people actually trust, the one a real estate agent recommends without thinking twice, the one a busy mum tells her friends about, the one a council facility manager knows will get it done without being chased. Three years on, a 5.0 rating from 110 Google reviews tells us we're getting that right, and it keeps us honest about the standard every day.

The crew you'll actually meet

When you book us, you aren't getting a roster of strangers who change every week. You get a small, settled team, and the names in our Google reviews are the real people who will be in your home or your workplace. The business is owner-run by Tyson, and alongside him Shanice, Lisa and Tash do the cleaning. We know each other well and know how each other works, and that shows up in the quality of the job.

We think a lot about who we bring onto this team, because we're handing them the keys to people's homes and businesses. Every one of us is police-checked, and we carry full public liability insurance, so if the worst happens you're covered. These are the basics any cleaner letting themselves into your place out of hours should have, and we will never cut corners on them.

Having the same faces also means you get consistency. They learn your space, remember that your back glass door always cops fingerprints, that the bin in the staff kitchen fills fastest, that you like the spare key left in a certain spot. That familiarity is one of the quiet reasons our regulars stay with us for years.

What we actually stand for

If you boil down what we care about, it comes to three things. Show up. Do it properly. Treat people and their homes with respect. They sound simple, but holding all three at once, every job, every week, is where most cleaners fall down. Showing up means we turn up when we said, and if something genuinely goes wrong we ring you, we don't just vanish. We would rather have an honest awkward phone call than leave you wondering where we are.

Doing it properly means we clean to a standard, not to a clock. There's a difference between a space that has been tidied and one that has actually been cleaned, and we're firmly in the second camp. We go after the grout, the high-touch points, the salt haze on the glass, the spots people skip when they rush. If a job needs an extra ten minutes to be right, it gets them.

Respect is the one we feel most strongly about. When we're in your home we're mindful that it's your home, with your things and your routines, and we treat it that way. We don't move your paperwork around, and we're careful around kids and pets. The products we use are low-tox, family and pet-safe, because clean should never come at the cost of a healthy home.

The range of work we take on

One thing that surprises people is just how much we cover. Plenty of folk find us for one job and then realise we can sort half a dozen others they had been juggling between different businesses. We do regular home cleans, the weekly or fortnightly going-over that keeps a household sane. We do end of lease cleans with a proper bond-back guarantee, cleaned to the REINSW exit standard, and if the agent flags anything within the agreed window we come back and re-clean it free inside 72 hours. We also do carpet cleaning, windows, lawn and yard, and rubbish removal.

On the commercial side we look after offices, shopfronts, and facility and council work, the sort of jobs that need a crew who can be trusted with keys and alarm codes and hold a standard without being supervised. We do builders cleans too, taking a site from dusty to move-in ready.

We also do work that's close to our heart, the care side. We provide NDIS cleaning and home care package cleaning, and we work alongside providers like My Home Care and Goodwin so the support gets to the people who need it. Helping someone keep living independently and with dignity in their own home is some of the most meaningful work we do.

The locals we look after

Our patch runs the length of the Eurobodalla, from Durras in the north down through Batemans Bay, Batehaven, Catalina, Surfside and Nelligen, out through Malua Bay, Rosedale, Mossy Point and Broulee, and on down to Tomakin, Moruya and Moruya Heads. We know these towns because we live in them, and we understand what the coast does to a building, the salt on the glass, the sand through the door, the damp that breeds mould in a bathroom shut up over a long weekend.

The people we look after are a real cross-section of the coast. Busy families who just want their weekends back instead of spending them scrubbing. Tenants who need their bond back and an agent who will sign off without a fight. Older locals and people living with disability who want to stay in their own homes, supported by NDIS or a home care package. Tradies handing over a finished site. Small business owners who want their shopfront and bathrooms to make the right first impression.

What ties all of them together is that they want someone reliable who actually cares how it turns out. They want a crew with a name and a face and a phone number that gets answered, who will be there next month and the month after. That's exactly who we are, and it's why so many of our jobs come from someone telling a mate, you should just give us a call.

How we price, and why there are no nasty surprises

We will be straight about money, because that's where a lot of trust gets lost in this trade. We give you a clear quote up front, every time, so you know where you stand before we lift a finger, with no quiet little extras at the end. As a rough guide, a bond clean is a fixed price by size, from $450 plus GST for a one bedroom up to $850 plus GST for a four bedroom, carpet cleaning is a flat $50 per room plus GST, and regular home cleaning is $60 an hour plus GST with a two hour minimum, or a set price per visit, whichever suits you better.

For the bigger jobs, offices, facilities, NDIS and home care package cleaning, we quote to the scope or the plan rather than off a sticker, because a quiet two-room suite and a busy clinic aren't the same job. We walk the space or talk through the plan with you and give you a clear price you can rely on, and it doesn't move unless the scope does. We never want anyone to feel ambushed by a bill, and that upfront pricing promise is one of the things we're proudest of.

Come and meet the crew

Three years in, we're still as keen on this as we were the day we started, because we get to see the difference a properly looked-after home or workplace makes to people week after week. We're open seven days, we cover the whole Eurobodalla coast, and whether you need a one-off clean or someone reliable for the long haul, we'd love to look after you. Starting with a single job is always welcome, so you can see the work for yourself first.

If any of this sounds like the sort of crew you've been after, give us a call on 0479 184 498. You will get Tyson or one of the team, Shanice, Lisa or Tash, real people from your own coast who take pride in turning up, doing it properly, and treating your place with respect. That's the whole idea behind Capital Coastal Cleaning, and it always will be.
